NDAShield is live. This is the qualitative recap of what that launch looked like — what the product does, how the community responded, and what builders and founders actually wanted when they landed on an AI NDA tool.
No fabricated upvote counts or traffic numbers here. This is about what we built, why the privacy architecture mattered more than we expected, and what comes next.
What NDAShield does
Upload an NDA — PDF or DOCX. NDAShield extracts the text, runs structured AI analysis, and returns:
- A Burn Score from 0 to 100 measuring how aggressively the agreement favours the disclosing party
- Clause-level findings with verbatim quotes from your document (no hallucinations; the model only flags what it can prove is in the text)
- Redlines — drop-in replacement language for each risky clause
- Negotiation email snippets ready to send to the counterparty
The first analysis is free. No credit card. The document is processed in memory and never stored as raw text.
The product in action
The analysis view is a three-pane workstation: source text with highlighted clause passages on the left, Burn Score verdict with risk breakdown in the upper right, and clause findings with suggested redlines in the lower right.
The redline output is designed for immediate use — copy the replacement clause text and paste it into a response email or a marked-up document.
How it works
The workflow is four steps: upload, extract, analyze, negotiate.
What happens in the extract step is where the privacy architecture lives. Text is parsed in memory, sent to the AI layer, and the raw content is discarded. The document text never writes to a database. Only the structured analysis output (Burn Score, findings, redlines) is persisted to your account.

What the launch community cared about
Privacy came first. The most consistent question from builders and founders was not about accuracy or speed — it was: "Where does my document go?" The in-memory processing model and EU-hosted infrastructure answered that directly. For founders who negotiate investor NDAs, IP-sensitive documents, and acquisition agreements, the answer matters more than the UI.
Clause quotes, not summaries. The second most consistent reaction was relief at seeing verbatim text. Generic AI NDA tools produce confident summaries that can be actively dangerous. The requirement that every finding cite exact language from the document was the feature that generated the most trust.
Redlines, not just risks. A risk score without a counter-proposal puts the entire negotiation burden on the reviewer. The redline-and-email-snippet format was the output people said they would actually use. "I can just send this" was the response that validated the product direction most.
